CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt’s Olympic hopeful Ihab Abdelrahman, a silver medalist in the men’s javelin at last year’s world championship, has been suspended for failing a doping test. “We received news that Ihab has failed a doping test. Egypt Wins Its First Ever World Athletics Championships Medal

Egypt’s Ihab AbdelRahman El Sayed has won the country’s first ever World Athletics Championships medal, after winning a silver in the Javelin Throw at the 15th IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China. El Sayed, 26, managed to achieve a throw of 88.99 meters on his second attempt, scoring almost four meters less than Kenya’s gold medalist Julius Yego who reached 92.72 meters on his third attempt.
